Description: Boswellia is a moderate to large branching tree. Strips of bark are peeled away, yielding a gummy oleo-resin which contains oils, terpenoids,and gum.
Part used: Gum resin
Uses: Extracts of Boswellia gum have been traditionally been used in the Ayurvedic medicine as an anti-arthritic. Recently it has shown some promise as a treatment for asthma and various inflamatory conditions.
